Globe and Beast have descended upon Austin, TX to play Melotov Records' official SXSW showcase, March 12 at The Annex, alongside ACxDC, Vices, Nomads, Tidemouth, Creative Adult, and more.

Globe and Beast's debut album, Grandfather's Axe, is set for a spring release on Melotov, with preorders for the vinyl launching Tuesday, March 19.

From San Diego, CA, Globe and Beast churn out anthemic hardcore, shrouded in gloom. Decibel Magazine bestowed this description upon the band: "Noisy, sinewy, mathy, violent, metallic hardcore with heart and soul, wrapped in tire irons and dipped in battery acid."

Grandfather's Axe was recorded by Alex Estrada at The Earth Capital (Touche Amore, Xibalba) and mastered by Bill Henderson at Azimuth Mastering (Crazy Spirit, Perdition).

Those in Austin for SXSW can also catch Globe and Beast, March 14 at Austin Java with Call of the Void and more.
