Invisible Oranges presents the premiere of "Captain Keith Pierce", a new slice of the supernatural riff conjuring that fills Phantom Glue's second album, A War of Light Cones.

Reports IO, "Boston's Phantom Glue mix sludge, hardcore, noise rock and other cacophonous brutality into a molotov cocktail called A War of Light Cones." Indeed, the band name Neurosis, Trouble, and The Jesus Lizard as three key reference points.

The album is reportedly an "alternate history of Colonial America", rooted in Lovecraftian evil, with the song "Captain Keith Pierce" telling a tale of cryptids' burials and rebirths.

Phantom Glue's second album and their first for Black Market Activities, A War of Light Cones was produced by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studio (Torche, Doomriders). Ballou's connection to Phantom Glue dates back to the 90s when he and frontman Matt Oates were bandmates in The Huguenots.

BMA releases A War of Light Cones July 16th as a color vinyl LP and digital download. Pre-order.
