HIGH WATER + High Times

Bay Area rockers High Water have teamed up with champions of alternative culture High Times Magazine to premiere "Feral", a track of the band's upcoming, self-titled debut LP.

Leading proponents of personal freedom and mind expansion for forty years now, High Times offers this high praise for High Water: "Cali rockers High Water bring the crunch and power of 90s-era alt-rock roaring back with their forthcoming self-titled debut... Fronted by Neal Sharma of hardcore noisemongers Ghostlimb, the band specializes in hard, feedbacky pop, coming across as a sweeter, wry-voiced, less tangled-up Dinosaur Jr."

A recent review on BrooklynVegan concurs: "[High Water] sound like no time has passed since Husker Du, The Replacements, and Dinosaur Jr were influential on the alternative-leaning mainstream."

High Water's self-titled debut album was produced by Jack Shirley, producer of Deafheaven's Sunbather. The LP is out February 4th on Vitriol Records, the label founded by Justin Smith who also plays in Ghostlimb with High Water's Sharma. Smith, known as the twisted mind behind Graf Orlock in addition to his roles with Vitriol Records and Ghostlimb, was named "one of the most interesting people in Los Angeles" by the LA Weekly in its "People 2013" issue.

High Water celebrates the release of its debut with two record release shows this weekend:

Jan 31 - Berkeley, CA @ 924 Gilman w/ Loma Prieta, Dangers
Feb 2 - Santa Cruz, CA @ 418 Project w/ Loma Prieta, Dangers
