HIGH WATER, Loma Prieta, Dangers

To honor the February 4th release of their self-titled debut album on Vitriol Records, Bay Area rockers High Water announce a pair of record release shows with Loma Prieta and Dangers.

Jan 31 - Berkeley, CA @ 924 Gilman w/ Loma Prieta, Dangers
Feb 2 - Santa Cruz, CA @ 418 Project w/ Loma Prieta, Dangers

High Water is fronted by Neal Sharma, also a member of Vitriol label mates Ghostlimb. A far cry from Ghostlimb's hardcore punk, High Water's earnest songs possess "all the swampy jangle and raspy melodies you'd expect from a could-be '90s alt-radio hit", according to a recent BrooklynVegan review. "[High Water] sound like no time has passed since Husker Du, The Replacements, and Dinosaur Jr were influential on the alternative-leaning mainstream", reports BV. High Water's self-titled debut was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jack Shirley, the producer behind Deafheaven's 2013 year-end list champ Sunbather

Vitriol Records' February 4th release of High Water kicks off what promises to be another bang-up year for the trendsetter label. Vitriol boss Justin Smith, a member of the bands Graf Orlock, Ghostlimb, and Dangers, was named "one of the most interesting people in Los Angeles" by the LA Weekly in its "People 2013" issue.
