1-800-BAND + BrooklynVegan

BrooklynVegan premieres the title track off 1-800-BAND's upcoming new EP, Diver Blue.

The co-ed Brooklyn quartet has been labelled "sticky-sweet power-pop" by Time Out New York and "power-punk-pop gems" by WFMU. BrooklynVegan notes "some serious vibes of The Cars and other 1978/79 power-pop/new wave bands".

The Diver Blue EP is out April 8th on Almost Ready Records, home to releases by Liquor Store, Nobunny, and Big Dipper. Diver Blue was produced by Kevin McMahon at Marcata Recording (The Walkmen, Titus Andronicus, Swans) and mastered by Carl Saff (Guided By Voices, Unsane).

1-800-BAND plays Death By Audio in Brooklyn this Sunday, February 23rd, with Hector's Pets, and hits the road in the spring to bring its keyboard-driven retro-anthems all across the US, winding up back in Brooklyn with a slot opening for power-pop legend Dwight Twilley.
