1-800-BAND + Wondering Sound

Wondering Sound presents the exclusive premiere of 1-800-BAND's newest power-pop anthem, "Here Comes Summer," off the co-ed Brooklyn quartet's forthcoming EP, Diver Blue.

Out April 8th on Almost Ready Records
(Liquor Store, Nobunny, Atlantic Thrills), Diver Blue was produced by Kevin McMahon (The Walkmen, Titus Andronicus, Swans).

Wondering Sound's editor-in-chief J. Edward Keyes depicts 1-800-BAND's latest track as "the kind of sugar-packed, carbonated power-pop that groups like The Cars and The Raspberries used to shake up and spray out on the regular, full of fizzy guitars and stick-sweet keys... A bouyant volley from a band with a firm grasp on the past, but their eyes fixed on the future."

CMJ, which recently premiered the band's new video, referred to its late-'70s-nodding sound as "stellar skinny-tie pop."

1-800-BAND plays a string of US dates this spring, beginning with a free in-store, April 5th at Brooklyn's Record Grouch, and ending with the Brooklyn Power Pop Festival, May 9th.
