TIGER FLOWERS + Invisible Oranges

Invisible Oranges has premiered "Batesian Mimicry," the newest song from New York City favorites Tiger Flowers.

"Batesian Mimicry" is the opening track off the Flowers' debut LP, Dead Hymns, out April 8th on Melotov Records. The LA label is home to other upcoming releases by ACxDC and Vices, and past releases by The Banner, Old Wounds, and Ghostlimb.

IO reports: "Coalesce are their most obvious reference point but that comparison doesn't tell the whole story; Tiger Flowers are less noodly and more terse, which means that you stand a good chance of headbanging to their music the right way on the first try. The band know this fact and make use of it. Like any good metallic hardcore band they've got a knack for setting up huge slowdowns with dramatic pauses – in "Batesian Mimicry" the band pull the rug out from beneath you about a minute into the track. The sequence of slamming grooves that follows is worth the long wait."

"Batesian Mimicry" is the second track to be revealed off the new album. The first, "Cruisin' 'til the Wheels Fall Off", was immortalized with a video which Metal Injection hailed as "the video of the year."
