Divider, fronted by Skycamefalling founder Chris Tzompanakis, absolutely crushes on All Barren, its first full-length (arriving almost a decade after the band's formation): the apocalyptic horror of sludge-doom meets the precision striking of a metallic hardcore band. As Decibel reports, "Their music pulls together different shades of darkness, its menacing slow burn drawing from bands like Neurosis and Tombs."
All Barren was produced by Will Yip (Circa Survive, Blacklisted) and mastered by Bill Henderson (Enabler, Most Precious Blood). The album hits stores September 23rd via Glory Kid Ltd and can be pre-ordered now.
A West Coast tour is in the works for the fall.
"Their music pulls together different shades of darkness, its menacing slow burn drawing from bands like Neurosis and Tombs."
"Like having your face pressed into a belt sander... Divider's music is grand, harsh, and angry... Fans of Neurosis, early Isis, and Tombs should perk their ears up for this album."
"Riffs with an indescribable power... A younger group could play these same songs 1,000 times and never come close to matching the emotions All Barren evokes."
"Stalwart carriers of the sonic battering ram... Gate-crushing tone."
