Noisey has premiered Netherlands' brand new track, "Thrombosis."

Led by ultra-prolific man-machine Timo Ellis, Netherlands churn out new jams by the metric ton. Since the late 2013 release of their last LP, Silicon Vapor, the Brooklynites have tracked more than 20 new songs, of which "Thrombosis" is one. While the band firm up plans for the release of their next EP, they've offered up "Thrombosis" as a taste of what's to come: heavy metal bombast, prog chops, and soaring hooks, with everything set on maximum overdrive.

In the words of Noisey's Zachary Lipez, the vibe is "Dio-inflected yowling over Drive Like Jehu overridden-in-the-red propulsion" and "glammed out Highway Star vocals running wild and free over distorted bass chaos."

Ellis' musical resume spans two decades and includes collaborations with Melvins, John Zorn, Cibo Matto, and more.

Netherlands play TONIGHT at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn.
