NATHAN GRAY + Revolver

Revolver Magazine has premiered the video for "Wolves," the opening track off Nathan Gray's debut solo EP, NTHN GRY.

Watch the "Wolves" video, here.

Known around the globe for over two decades as frontman of post-hardcore heroes Boysetsfire, and more recently as frontman of metallic cartel I Am Heresy (featuring his own son Simon on guitar), Gray launches the next phase of his long career with the August 21st release of NTHN GRY on Good Fight Music.

The NTHN GRY EP represents Gray's most personal work to date. With collaborator Daniel E. Smith, Gray blasts apart expectations, reaching beyond hardcore into the realms of industrial, folk, and pop. Musical reference points include certain works of Death in June, Dead Can Dance, Skinny Puppy and Portishead. Lyrically, Gray delves deep into his truest Satanic convictions – a card-carrying member of the Church of Satan, Gray has made this statement about his new solo work:

"Bringing this solo endeavor to fruition really allows me a space to be myself, and create a musical path that I can continue for as long as I desire. I have the freedom to explore my ideals and perform in a manner that is true to the darker parts of human nature. The next chapter of Nathan Gray is all about the exploration of the carnal self. It is about looking within and celebrating ourselves in the deep, passionate, wild and free."

Good Fight Music owner (and former Ferret Music owner) Carl Severson made this statement:

"We are well-versed in Nathan's accomplishments with Boysetsfire, having had Ferret bands tour with them and seeing them play over the years. We like his music and his work ethic and we are excited that he chose to release his first solo material with us. It is sonically a bit of a departure from what we're known for, but still very much a 'Good Fight' release."

NTHN GRY was recorded and mixed by Daniel E. Smith at Sounds of Ideal Life and mastered by Kevin Mattesky at Phantom Center Media.

The "Wolves" video was directed by Bobby Bates.

With the US release of NTHN GRY set for August 21st on Good Fight Music, the EP will be released in Europe on August 7th via End Hits Records.
