From Denver, Colorado, this new trio bashes out a driving brand of post-hardcore earning comparisons to Refused, Fugazi, The Blood Brothers, and The Bronx. The screams are as real as the hooks are catchy; it's a cool mix of scrappy aggression and arena-ready songcraft. Lyrics about pirates, aliens, and sharks add yet another dimension. Angsty, epic, comical, Muscle Beach was named "Denver's best hardcore band" by local music authority Westword. The band plays its record release show tomorrow, December 5th at Hi-Dive in Denver.

"Frantic post-hardcore that's already gotten a few comparisons to Refused... and there's maybe a little Blood Brothers in there too. Like those bands, they pull off being catchy, weird and aggressive all in the same song."

"A particularly gleeful kind of violence... Ridiculously catchy and also disarmingly weird."

"Post-Fugazi hardcore... A shambling, jagged basher. The band alternates between storming forward and throwing the listener off balance with their clanging riffage... like a title bout boxing match."

"First-rate... A wickedly good balance of Fugazi's discipline and Refused's intensity."

"Angular riffs, dissonant aggression, driving grooves and Blood Brothers-esque eccentricity."
–American Aftermath

"The best punk album I have heard in ages."
