CAR BOMB + Stereogum

"A rhythmically abstruse variety of extreme metal most obviously influenced by Meshuggah and The Dillinger Escape Plan... Car Bomb exceeds even their legendary capacity for zonks and skronks... Hallucinatory... Insanely brutal."

Stereogum has premiered new Car Bomb track "Sets," featuring guest vocals by Frank Mullen of Suffocation.

"Sets" appears on the New York band's upcoming third album Meta, coming October 28th, self-released by the band. Meta was produced by Gojira's Joe Duplantier and Car Bomb guitarist Greg Kubacki, and mixed and mastered by Josh Wilbur (Megadeth, Lamb of God, Hatebreed, Escape the Fate).

Completely dominating a style of music Stereogum describes as "rhythmically abstruse," "hallucinatory," and "insanely brutal," Car Bomb's sheer technical prowess is made all the more awesome by the melody and musicality it injects into Meta. Deriving inspiration from across the spectrum, from Meshuggah to Aphex Twin to John Zorn, Car Bomb exercises its musical freedom with stunning results: Meta is a world where maddening technicality, massive grooves and soaring melodies are woven together into complex structures that burst with color, dazzling the brain and punching the gut.
