OLD WOUNDS - January 2017 tour

Fresh off a full US tour with Beartooth and Every Time I Die, and a slot on the entire summer-long Vans Warped Tour '16 before that, Old Wounds announces plans to kick off 2017 with a series of mini-tours across North America.

Over the course of three long weekends, Old Wounds will complete a series of three short tours, bringing its noise to parts of the Midwest, Canada, the Northeast, and the West Coast. Supporting Old Wounds on these shows will be some of the band's favorite co-conspirators, including Exalt, Seizures, Safe to Say, Lost Souls, and Poison Headache.

Old Wounds, Exalt, Safe to Say:
Jan 5 - Chicago, IL @ Cobra Lounge
Jan 6 - Saginaw, MI @ Counter Culture
Jan 7 - Toronto, ON @ The Cave
Jan 8 - Pittsburgh, PA @ Smiling Moose

Old Wounds, Exalt, Lost Souls:
Jan 12 - Worcester, MA @ Palladium Upstairs
Jan 13 - Albany, NY @ Trickshots
Jan 14 - Philadelphia, PA @ Voltage Lounge
Jan 15 - Brooklyn, NY @ Saint Vitus

Old Wounds, Seizures, Poison Headache:
Jan 19 - Sacramento, CA @ The Colony
Jan 20 - Hayward, CA @ Heart of the Bay Skatepark
Jan 21 - Kingsburg, CA @ Bullfrogs
Jan 22 - Anaheim, CA @ Chain Reaction

A standout of today's scene, Old Wounds blends vicious New Jersey metalcore with goth ambience and progressive political ideals. Musical reference points include late '90s metallic hardcore greats like Turmoil and Buried Alive, and icons of darkness like Danzig and Type O Negative, while politically the band is closer in spirit to Fugazi.

Latest album The Suffering Spirit was released in 2015 on Good Fight Music. Alternative Press warned the album would "rip your goddamn spine out," while BrooklynVegan called it "heavy, dissonant... pissed-off," and MetalSucks hailed its "powerhouse heaviness" and "brooding Type O Negative vibe."
